Green Moving Scams its customers

A family member recently moved from North Carolina to Texas and Green Moving was given the work. They started with a $ 1,800 estimate...truck shows up....the man loads the truck and then says he cannot do the move unless my relative gives them another $ 3,000....they get to Texas and the driver is so incompetent he cannot drive the old rig into the subdivision so he demands another $ 500. The broke items....we had missing items and the driver was on drugs.....these are the most incompetent movers in the world! Don't use them...we are suing them....extortionists is what they are!!!

This was one of the worst decisions I have made about my move! When I first spoke to someone at the company my estimate was around $1,200 so I planned my expenses accordingly. They were able to get my belongings in a very timely fashion, but once they got there everything was being tacked on to the estimated price. Apparently I have to pay for each step they have to take from their seat to my door, each flight they have to go up, their packing materials because yours doesn't suffice, and in order for me to pay on my card it was another $30 charge! No one in that the company told me that until of course all of my things are on the truck. After I got to my final destination and had a move in date it still took them about four days after that date to deliver my items. There was no time frame or estimates as to when my things were going to arrive, I just had to sit in an empty apartment for 4 days and wait for them to call. Apparently, this is how this company does things. Upon FINALLY receiving my stuff in my final destination, again I have to pay for them to walk 7 steps and one flight of stairs. When I took a look at my stuff after they delivered everything a couple boxes were squashed including my glass kitchen dishes, a couple pieces of my furniture looked like it had gotten wet and slightly damaged, and I was missing an important part of my furniture. The customer service throughout the whole entire experience was subpar. I worked with one lady Julie in the beginning who I enjoyed working with but for the remaining of my move I have the unpleasant opportunity in working with their quote unquote head manager April. She was rude and very short and treats you just like you are, just another check. I did file a claim against them for my missing and damaged items which is still in progress. At the end of my move it was about $1,200 more than what they quoted me for. The actual movers were not that bad that actually work with me more than the company did . The company is a money hungry ,non Customer driven black hole on wheels. Needless to say if I could have I would have walked each and every one of my items from my beginning destination to my final destination if it meant not to deal with this company.

Use this moving company with extreme caution. I had a contract with arrival time between 9-10 am. To make a long story short the movers arrived at 12:30 pm. No one ever contacted me. I called them every 30 minutes only to get broken promises. The estimate time for them to move my furniture was for 4 hours but it only took them three hours to include travel time. But was told I had to pay the 4 hour estimate price and wait til the next business to request a refund. Word of caution they will charge your credit/debit card a couple days prior unless you notify them otherwise. I granted permission to get a refund for one hour after several phone calls. I did request for the company to offer something for me waiting two and half hours beyond their estimated arrival time. I was told no because that is an estimated time not a guarantee arrival time. The fee they charged me was $95 an hour. The movers were excellent, but the office personnel has very very poor customer service. Also I never received my refund for the last hour the movers did not work. Again if you hire this moving company be aware, what happened to me could very well happen to you. Also asked the question, If I was late would they have charged me and the answer was yes. They know nothing about customer service.

Never use this company, they will rip you off

Your quote will double AFTER they load the truck and demand payment before your belongings will be returned. They will charge a storage fee if you don't pay their over inflated doubled quote. They will tell you that your items will be delivered within a certain timeframe and you will get them 2-3 weeks later. The movers (labor) are nice and even they said they wouldn't use this company, it's a rip off. Don't ever use them. In addition they will tell you that your items are leaving their facility when in fact they don't for several days or in my case, over a week later. This was confirmed by the labor movers.

Do NOT use this company. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF, IT IS A SCAM COMPANY.

Quoted $2500, then once everything was in the truck, they told me it was $1200 more for packing materials and an additional $3500 for everything. Even though the list I provided was accurate, they claim the computer has a "size" of items in it and the estimates are based on these sizes. Once my stuff was in the truck, they will not deliver it until I pay the extra money or they will put it in storage and charge me more for it. I am suing the pants off of these people. DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL COSTS. EVER. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

Green Line Moving and Storage - Moving Service Review from Laurel, Maryland

This is the worst company I have come across. They stole money from me. After putting a deposit down this company had the nerve to run my card the day of my move for the balance without approval. I ended up paying them double and if I hadn't checked my account I would have never know. They quote you per hour and claim that it will take 4-5 hours but line too less than 2 and I was still charged the quoted price of 4-5 hours. They are CROOKS!!!! WARNING!!!!!! Never ever ever ever hire them for ANYTHING!!!!!!!! They are CROOKS!!!!!

Easy Breezy Moving

Well, this website is focused more on negative reviews and to deal with companies that practice "shady" methods, but my recent experience with these guys was so good, that I had to share it over here, as well as post something positive. I had some minor stuff that needed to be moved from Brooklyn to Baltimore. Long story short, at some point, I came across Greenline. First, their representative(name is Vadim) was very friendly and helpful on the phone. When we talked details, he surprised me with his knowledge of the matter and how helpful he was overall. Second surprise was when he told me estimated total - it was fairly cheaper than I expected. Second, their crew stood up to what their representative and me agreed upon. In general, everything went according to the plan. There were a few delays related to traffic conditions. But everyone who lived in NYC or traveled via i-695 during business and rush hours would know that this evil is unfortunately unavoidable. All my belongings were safe and undamaged. So summing up, I'd say that it has been worry free experience at affordable price. I'll recommend Greenline in the future.

Over charged even with a contract

We hired Greenline Moving &Storage to move us to Florida.they gave me an internet quote of $2500. I asked them to come & look at the contents then give me a quote. $3900 for new quote. The packers were great. They needed 2 trucks because the salesman didn't know what he was doing . They advised us that we were overweight even though the salesman gave us a quote. There were a lot of hidden charges that we were never told about.bottom line was the new cost came to $7000 and they would have held our furniture. When they delivered the boxes were filthy and upside down. Some damages . Don't use them. They are crooks!

DO NOT USE Green Line Moving out of Maryland

Schedule my move on June 8. My stuff was picked up on June 15. Move from Maryland to Florida and promised delivery date was June 20-21. Then they could not find my paperwork. Then when they found my paperwork they told me maybe delivered by June 26-27. When I called on June 26 I was placed on hold as soon as I mentioned my name and no one would assist me. Finally an man named Andrew answered and said my stuff might come on Saturday or Sunday June 29-30. No one can tell me what is going on. I have a disabled child and we have no furniture and her necessary things now for over a week. This is horrible, horrible business.

This was the worst experience in my business life. This company did not fulfill their end of the contract; broke heirloom pieces; came 2 hours late; were not prepared: had no tape, no tools to assemble, very small amount of bubble wrap, were inefficient and inexperienced.

Took them twice as long as it should have. Just so unprofessional.

Clearly this company is not what they advertised or promised. Do not use this company.
